Dear friends,
Who would ever thought the world would be in this mess in 2020? I wouldn’t.
This whole situation has shown how badly the world needs Jesus. More than ever, we need to evaluate our daily walk with the Lord and our impact in our communities as Christians. We need to shine our light so the world can see.
I can’t imagine how hard it’s been for you, our American friends and partners, these past few months. The House of Abraham family is praying for you and your country.
Happy 4th of July to you all.
I want to thank you for your continued prayers and support. Your heart for our ministry and our children and for us, amaze us daily. Right now, your prayers and support are needed more than ever.
“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV)
IN CHRIST,

COVID-19 / HAITI
In our March update, I mentioned that there were not any reported cases of COVID-19 Haiti. A few days after sending the letter, the government reported the first three cases in the country. That news turned the country upside down. Businesses started to close down and prices of goods started to ramp up.
Economically, the situation is very bad in Haiti. As you are aware, the problems in Haiti did not start with COVID-19. There had been an ongoing political instability in the country. Commerce and unemployment continue to be stagnated while the inflation rate is 22.19%. The pandemic has just worsened the problem.
After four months of lock down, the Haitian government has started the reopening process. Factories and other businesses will open gradually. However, it is still unclear to when churches and schools will be able to reopen.
We always rely on God’s promise to supply our needs, here in Haiti. There have been many prayerful days and nights in our family. Therefore, God has been faithful.
HOA CHILDREN
The kids have stayed pretty busy while in confinement. They participated in bible trivia during the months of April and May. They did very well. The girls have been writing, drawing, making bracelets and necklaces. Thanks to Mrs. Dianne Bolin for providing the supplies. The boys have stayed busy doing yard work and helping me in the garden. Four weeks ago, the kid’s schools started providing homework for them to do while at home. That has been really helpful.
OUTREACH
Our outreach centers have been closed since the first few cases of COVID-19 were found in the country. However, we have been keeping in touch with our students via text messaging and phone calls. We haven’t been able to do any food distribution due to the lack of resources. Therefore, it affects the families we serve on a weekly basis. We are looking forward to the moment when we can be Jesus’ hands and feet outside of our walls again.
